Ashley Matthews joins the show to talk about life and art. She is a tattoo artist at Final Thoughts Tattoo in Casper. Neotraditional tattoos are her mainstay. Recently, Ashley likes to tattoo the dark and grotesque but then sometimes “super-ultra-cute-I’m-going-to-kill-you” kind of thing.
The journey to where Ashley is now was a long one. From having her father die in her arms to struggling with addiction, she had to fight to survive.
She was always drawn to ink. Early on she started scrapping together parts to make her own machines from any motor she could find. Step-dad finally broke down and bought her a real machine on the condition that it would never leave the house.
