Luke Skywalker is a quintessential Star Wars hero. He does have to live under his father’s shadow, but he is a character that keeps coming back. Seeing that green lightsaber during the Mandalorian was epic. For those who grew up on Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, Luke Skywalker is Star Wars. Over the years, a lot has changed. There is a lot to like about Luke and a lot to dislike. Mike has a lot of criticism for Last Jedi, as do many others. Bill likes to enjoy the films at face value and not think too deeply about most issues. Mike, having read a lot of the books, feels the films fall short of what Luke could have been.
